Crazy crazy night. Got some good creative juices flowin’ last night with the calendar. Love it so much — really hope that others love it as much as I do. I’m torn about showing Oliver before the real countdown. Know that he will want to play with it and we can’t be having that before December, but would LOVE to have someone else’s love poured into it…..
Feelin’ my fingers today. Those of you who take the advent calendar class may be cursing jump rings. It’s a little like a chocolate tummy ache though. You just need to give it a good night’s morning’s sleep and in the (later) morning you’re back on the love train. Really, how could you not love jump rings.
Anyway, as those of you who know me know may know that my husband, Sweet Peter, is a total nut job, and wakes up at 3:30 or 4am every morning. WHY OH WHY?!?! Does he not know that those are PRIME sleeping hours? (This is the only reason he’s a nut job, by the way.) So often we do not share a bed. He’s waking up and I’m just headed in. So this morning he’s going through the progress I made on the advent calendar while he was slumbering and he said “Are you going to bed soon?” And my reply (still BRIMMING with creative energy) “Actually, I kind of thought I’d just stay up all night today.” At 5:30 Sweet Peter finally convinced me that after the boy’s little mini-vacation at Mimi’s he’s sure to be on sugar withdrawal and needing a good dose of Mumma so I best be bringing my A-game. So I trotted off to bed. Still bubbling over with creative energy. Seriously, who can sleep with all that wonderfulness going ’round in your head?!?!
Funniest thing. My husband just trotted upstairs and asked what I was doing. I had mentioned that I had gotten my blog up and running the other day. So today he said “What exactly is a blog?” hmmm, verbal diarrhea on the internet? Uh, gross image. Anyway, made me laugh. Let’s see if I can get him to read it. Will have to drop in Peter notes every here and there.

why isn’t there an excited font I can play with? Boring internet fonts. sapping my creative energy. Must get off line. Anyway, why is there super excitement and hip chicks in the house? Uh, Kal Barteski. Remember her? My art goddess? Yeah, I’ll be taking a class from her and a bunch of other HUGELY talented people. We’re going to Donna Downey’s Inspired! Holy cow am I the luckiest girl alive? I feel it.
Okay, feel some more energy. Clean up the space, maybe just do a tiny bit more on the calendar and off to get the boy. Yahoo! Can’t wait to see that little man. love him so. A-Game. Bring it.
