Words cannot even express what I’m feeling right now…..Pride and excitement more than anything…but some apprehension too. My step-son Andy just informed us that he received conditional acceptance into Annapolis! (For those of you not in the know, Military academy for Navy and some Marines — mostly Navy.) Just needs to keep doing what he’s doing academically, finish his eagle scout project, get a referral from a congressman (he’s got an appointment with Senator Sununu on the 13th), get a medical waiver for his asthma (which has not been acting up in some time), and he’s in. Ack, seems like a lot to do when it’s written down, but considering what he’s already done….. Anyway…just thought I’d share with those of you who know Andy. Please keep your fingers crossed — I know I won’t uncross mine until he’s IN-IN. He’s wanted this so badly.
