So we went to play with our friends yesterday and it looked something like this…

I have no idea how I found this tonight, but I know that Oliver will enjoy it in the morning. To see the entire silliness, click here: elf yourself. This will pretty much be the only way you’ll see me dance (at least without being asked by Oliver.) For those of you who don’t know my family….pictured is Peter, Me, Oliver, Mimi (my mum Beth).
Edited: You may need to refresh the link a couple times. It seems sporadic on my computer, but eventually works. Maybe everyone is elfing themselves.
Yesterday was truely lovely. Spent the morning at Oliver’s school for their holiday party. We arrived very late (ahhh, lovely to sleep in. Hey, it was party day and he’s in preschool — we both needed it! Believe me, he will be ontime EVERYDAY, even party days, when he’s in REAL school. no bad parent trips, hear?) After the school party, we headed North to see our friends the Camerons. Remember them from the first photoshoot? Well, had to drag the camera out yesterday while sledding. Darn cute kids, all of them. Starting with mine…

Ahhh, if it isn’t the guilt trip over late to school I’m sure someone will lecture me on the lack of ear-covering warm hat. He did have it with him…. I really like this picture for some reason.
Anyway, now for Becki’s cute kids and the super-fun times. First a picture of Peter rolling down the hill. He was having a great time. Can’t you tell by his face in the first and fourth pictures? I assure you, he loved it. He did give me a smile and blow me a kiss when he was done…and start all over again.

Alright, here’s the rest of them. We had a fabulous time and hope to see them again soon. Hi to GG and Kelli since I know they’ll check these out! Merry Christmas Baltimore!!!

Becki is making a better sled-trail since the kids kept walking up it. Who has the coolest mom, ever?!?! Check out the kids’ faces in the background — I needed to take the picture half a second later when both all three of them were laughing. Well, I did, but they weren’t all in the same photo. Oh well, still pretty darn cute.

Love the colors in the next one.

Love the snowspray and the fun in the next one. Too bad the picture seems grainy — not sure why.

Ride home was cold. The Jeep is still without heat. Hope to get it in tomorrow and it can be fixed over my holiday break from work. In the meantime I’m driving the plowtruck AND….(drum roll please!)…

Yes. I AM the biggest dork around. Yes I am. sheesh. I’m pretty excited about this new little car. We picked it up Monday thanks to Ed over at Medlyn Motors. Gets awesome gas mileage for an all-wheel/4-wheel drive vehicle (a must given our current living situation and the ton of snow already dumped on us this year!), and is a nice little ride. Guess I’m just a Jeep girl at heart (though I’m a purist. I drive a Jeep. Peter drives a Compass.) Biyatch, eh? Fight me then.
Anyway, Peter let me drive it to the wrestling meet on Wednesday and I got to take it to Target tonight for the last minute shopping craziness. The problem with getting done in June is that you don’t really know what you have until you start wrapping. Plus I wanted to get some fun things for Peter’s new car. He doesn’t know what a blog is still so I’m safe posting here. But he doesn’t know, SO DON’T TELL HIM! I really did NOT like the Volvo. Or the Taurus. I actually like driving my Jeep’s little brother. We’ll see how I feel about the thing once the novelty has worn off, but Sweet Peter might have some competition when driving the family around since this is the family vehicle. I’d much rather drive than passenger (except if it’s a 1999 Volvo S70 or a Taurus circa 1990?? Glad to be rid of both of them.)
Okay, I certainly have rambled on long enough. I need to finish wrapping and then possibly start work on my January class. Photoshoot tomorrow afternoon. There’s so much snow EVERYWHERE I’m really not sure where to go. I think it may rain too. Cross those fingers it doesn’t! Have a super evening (who am I kidding?! It’s really the wee hours of the morning.) Hey, it’s morning. Get up and get to work! That means only a day and a half until “HoHo’s zooming through the air with his deers. Rudo doesn’t need a flashlight. His nose blints.” Merry Christmas Eve Eve Morning. (Giddy, perhaps it’s time for bed.) Goodnight!
