Crankin’

Was totally crankin on the house today, so nothing GOOD to blog, just idle ramblings.

BUT!  I did want to tell those of you in the advent calendar class that I *DID* find a box for my calendar.  Bet y’all wish you had ordered a walking AT-AT for your kid for Christmas?!?!  It didn’t actually fit in THAT box, but it fit in the one that that one came in.  Maybe if you call lego they’ll send you just the box?  It MIGHT be worth a try….

Got all my Christmas stuff put away and then immediately found about six more pieces.  Maybe I’ll find another box they can go in sometime before Easter.  heh.

Was a busy busy day cleaning.  While moving stuff around, I vacuumed up a gazillion dust bunnies (they breed faster than the real ones!  sheesh!), wiped down floors, walls, windows, furniture, equipment…if it jumped in front of me, it got wiped.  Kind of like the good cleaning your house only gets when you’re moving.  I guess the demolition in the living room is good for that, anyway.  Got everything left in the living room out.  After they knock down walls (just the sheetrock — not the outers, thank heavens!) and peel off the ceiling and insulation, I hope they dry everything out super fast so we can tape some insulation up there until we fix stuff in the spring/summer.  You bet your booty that I am doing NO REPAIR until then as it would probably just rain in my living room again.  I’m all set with fixin’ until it’s done rainin’.)  Had already detached the tv/stereo/stand but then was figuring it’ll be a long time before it’s back in the living room, so sent Oliver and Peter out for lunch.  When they came back I had everything upstairs, including the stand.  Peter did NOT want to know how I got that up the stairs by myself.  Got Oliver’s slide taken apart (yes, my child had a slide in our living room) and moved to the basement, all his toys up in his room — drawers cleaned out from the other day, my room started, and some bills paid.  Man, give me two hours to myself and I’m a mad-mad movin’ woman.  I wonder what I’d be like if I got that kind of time to myself more often.  Probably not as efficient.  Yes, I get the time to myself at night, but the whole house is sleeping.  It’s not like I can be as noisy as I want.  My singing-along-working-hard-rockin’-out-voice would surely wake the house.  Everyone would wake up thinking they were having a nightmare.

Got the lunchbox notes for the week done, my inventory for the year put into excel, and I’m off to print off my tax forms.  Determined to get them in before April this year.  Seriously, I’ll be psyched if it’s by March.  I’m aiming earlier, but…. Let’s hope I can be as movin’ tonight as I was today.  Night’s still young, so motivate and MOVE IT!
