Well Heeeeellllooooo kidlets!

So, Where the heck have I been,  you ask?  mmmm, escaping my rainy house.  Yes, it’s time for a little non-rain.  Where on earth would you find that?  In sunny California!  YAHOOO!  Really, have only lived in California for 3.5 years of my life, but it’s where I was born, and honestly I do believe I’m just a California girl at heart.  Will have to write more about the vacation tomorrow, because we just got home today, I still need to unpack, pay bills, etc, and it’s 1am….but wanted to post a quick highlight of the journey.  Did not intend to be out of touch while I was gone, but some glitches (uh, Peter’s work computer thinks my email/blog is EVIL apparently – I was not allowed to check.  Apparently my website is Army Corps approved though.  Wait until I post something about Andy at Annapolis there — no doubt it will be evil then too.)  Anyway, if you emailed me while I was gone, I’m getting through them all.  And I’ll post vacation stories, classes, updates, etc when I get a chance.  Bear with me please.

Since I was inspired by my vacation to make a picture mosaic, that will be the first weekly assignment.  make a picture mosaic of pictures you love.  They can be anything.  Artwork, fun colors, people you adore, funtimes, etc.   The “weekly” assignments may be a little lax.  Spending 10 glorious days with my family without a care in the world put my priorities in perspective.  So if I’m late a week, please give me a break.  I do hope that people will participate.  I’ll have to figure out how everyone can share their assignments…in the meanwhile, I’d LOVE an email with your finished products.  Okay, so here’s mine for the week….

hmmm, after pasting it in here, I’ve already decided I need to rearrange my photos — I just kind of threw them down.  Will post an updated photo when I rearrange and like it.  Row three is the cumbersome one, no? Updated.  And to answer some email questions (I have a large email readership — not many commenters…)  Please don’t be offended if I don’t email you back — when I have ten or more emails with the same thought, it’s easier to answer it here.  Especially when I’ve just returned from vacation to a FLOODED inbox.  It matters not if you have photo software.  If you do not have photo software to make the mosaic on your computer, take pictures, cut them in squares and group them that way.  The idea is just to make a grouping of pictures you like. Alright, sleep tight kids.
