So, s’been a BUSY week. Been no time to blog. Mum’s night out on Tuesday — lovely dinner, thanks ladies! Big date to Bank Job with Sweet Peter on Weds. Was not at all what I thought it would be, but fabulous. Thought it was going to be an action film in case any of you think the same thing. It is not. But great all the same. Class Thurs (I guess I did blog briefly about that.) Birthday party Friday night (will get to that.) All good GREAT! things, but, all the same, am looking forward to my lay-low day with the family. Big day out to the grocery store. Oliver would like to go snowshoeing today. We’ll have to see if my legs can take it. Haven’t been cross-country skiing except for one time about 10 years ago. My friend Becki (also been once about 7 years ago) and I went yesterday.

This is us BEFORE we started skiing. You can tell because we still have all our clothes on. We stripped about 5 minutes into it when we were both huffing, puffing, sweating, and generally melting under all our warm clothes on such a beautiful day. It really was the perfect day — It snowed in the morning and there was hardly anyone there until we broke for lunch around noon. And then the couple people who had come, were all eating when we went back out. Our little legs could take no more, and we ran into a couple people as we headed back in for the day. Cannot plan a trip any better! And because of the snow, everything was just so beautiful!

Becki is so much fun to do things with too — we had a grand time…can’t wait to go again! When my sore legs recover….Thanks Beck!

Friday night I did a home workshop for a birthday party — SO MUCH FUN! The girls were amazing. They did such good projects, and there’s nothing like a bunch of squealing girls to keep the energy levels up! I had a blast!!!

I had to laugh a million times during the night. One of my favorite things was when a couple of the girls had the other girls at the party sign their books. HOW GREAT IS THAT?!? It was also very funny, though, because one of the girls bent over so the other girls could sign on her back. How nice! But completely funny because there was, in fact, a table right behind them!

One of Haley’s neighbors/friends, Aimee, was able to join us for the party and did an amazing book — she left a little early, so was not included in the group photos later, so wanted to make sure y’all could see her book. Hard to see in the photo, but love the red stitching she did on plastic that she attached to the front page! NICE! I’m doubly excited, because Aimee had such a good time, I may be doing a birthday party for her in September! Better start sucking up to her now if you want to come. HA!

Here are the group photos of the girls with their finished books — they were all so different and lovely.

One boy was called to join the party later. What the boy was thinking saying “yes” to a party of five screaming girls I’ll never know, but he was a mighty good sport (and awfully quiet.) They were very funny, and I think it was probably the best scrapbooking class I’ve given in a long time. (It’s not often that I get students doing handstands in class!)

Hope everyone has equally good things going on. I’m off to play with my child. YEEEHAW!
