No time to blog lately, but so much to blog. Hope you all that celebrate had happy holidays. Oliver had a great time both Saturday and Sunday — Saturday an egg hunt at my mum’s and Sunday BOTH brothers were home for a visit. Jeremy had to head back to school so we didn’t see him long, but he did manage to keep up with Oliver-A D D-Hugh who managed, in the course of fifteen minutes, to make his older brothers play: Lacrosse, Dodge-ball, monkey in the middle (or some version of it that he made up), soccer, football, hockey, and “play for me…I want to be the audience. YEAH! GO GO GO! Wheeee!” hysterical.
Jeremy playing with Oliver with Oliver’s new Easter Lacrosse set.
After Jeremy went back to school, Andy took Oliver out snowshoeing in the woods, played legos, transformers, and stuck around through tubby time so he could read him a story (Cargo and Woot) and tuck him in. I am always in awe of what a good big brother he is. Total disbelief whenever I remember that Andy is a TEENAGER. Cannot think of many teens who would stick around to play HOURS of legos, action figures, or the such, read stories and tuck in. TOTAL SAINT. Will be so sad (for many MANY reasons) when he goes off to Annapolis in July, but quite a lot of sadness for Oliver.
Please note that Oliver has a GREEN hat in these pictures. The orange hat (which is being held together by threads! Even Jeremy told Oliver he needed a new hat and I’ve seen some of his hats over the years!!!), has finally been retired I think. The easter bunny brought Oliver a green hat, hoping that a hat in his favorite color might lure him away from that grubby thing he wears/carries with him everywhere. I hardly recognize my child.

I have been laughing at Andrew since the end of wrestling season. He’s growing his hair — or rather not cutting his hair as a sort of last hurrah before he pretty much has a shaved head for life. You can see about 4 inches of “tuft” hanging out the back of his hat in the picture. You should see the funny puff of hair he has with the hat off. Unfortunately I didn’t get a picture of him with his hair un-hatted…just as well. Might get him kicked out of the academy. ha! Speaking of hair…I really do not like pictures of myself, much less self ones, BUT! I had to take this, as I got fun fun new hair today.

My life has been pretty freakin’ fabulous lately. Having all the boys home (for a short bit anyway), fun Easter activities, crafts with my child (a reluctant crafter), and last week I got an email from my art goddess herself! Kal Barteski. SWOON! Seriously, my heart is still all pitter-pat. I just adore her and her work so. I cannot wait to meet her in a few short weeks! Look out North Carolina….my friend Wendy and I are ready to road trip it down! Loading up the iPOD, scrapbooking supplies, and we’re ready for the freedom of the road! And some nice weather.
Off to write the lunch box note for tomorrow and then hit the hay. Been a rough week in the cubby farm…AND it’s separating me from Oliver this week so I’m the sweetest, most pleasant person ever (note DRIPPING sarcasm.) Red stripes and emails from people I look up to so much shall cheer me and bolster the positive attitude. ALOHA!
