Today certainly was one of my more productive days…course when you stay up until 3am you tend to have more time to do things. Anyway, finished up the advertisement paper designs for the Craftworkers’ Guild Spring, Harvest, and Holiday fairs while Oliver was at school this morning. Then he and I took off for Michael’s where I NEEDED to find Ranger Adirondak colorwash so I could make my own papers. No such luck. I don’t believe there is a store around here that has them — I’ve been to four this week. Anyway, popped into EMS to pick up a new pair of shoes for me since mine have a hole. Oliver sweet-talked the shoe guy into letting him have two cardboard inserts so that he could make an alligator out of them. I’ll have to post pics once we actually do that. Then we hit the ice cream stand, because, HOLY COW! it was like 85 degrees today. C R A Z Y. Oliver ran around the ice cream place like a little nutball — was great. Hoping he’ll sleep late tomorrow. Fat chance.

We then headed to Andrew’s Lacrosse game — we FRIED. Even though we had sunscreen on, I do believe both of us will be beet red tomorrow.

Oliver had to “borrow” my sunglasses because it was too sunny for him to see. He looked pretty darn cute in them.

It’s hard to believe how HOT it was today. Seriously, I was just posting snow photos a mere 11 days ago. As in, it was SNOWING 11 days ago and now it’s 85?!?!
I just loved that picture of him in the window looking out at the snow. Tonight while I was playing around I scribbled a version of it out on some board stuff I got today. I think I need to scan it — it looks terrible. I guess at this time of night I’m just too lazy so the camera will have to suffice. I’m not sure why the colors are all kooky. It looks like he’s melting at the bottom. maybe he is in this weather….YEEHAW! Love this weather!

Tonight I got to do lots of artsy stuff. Made a TON of paper. Apparently I did not need colorwash.

Am working on something for one of the boys. Oh, AWESOME NEWS! Jeremy got into Med school earlier this week! WHOOO! So both boys are graduating in a short couple months. Then Andy will be heading off to Annapolis, and Jeremy will be off a little further away to NY. Sort of sad, but very exciting for them.
Last project I worked on tonight was some photo transfers. I like the ink one, but have trouble with consistency.

Any ideas on how to keep the paint from flaking? Or how to do a larger photo? No luck with any tries over about 1.5″ x 2.5″ I am OPEN for ideas!
The tape works much better.
I’m thinking I best be getting my behind into bed so I’ll be a fun Momma tomorrow instead of a lump begging my child to lay down and take a nap with me. Sweet dreams!
