Happy Squeals all over the place!

First a quick FAQ because I’ve been receiving some cranky URGENT emails about NOT answering my email and comments.  I apologize — busy busy.

From this entry and random emails:

1.  Where did you get the necklace you’re wearing?  The necklace I am wearing in the picture with Kal I made.  I think it looks a little weird in the picture, but thank you for noticing it.

2.  Will you post directions for the projects you made at Inspired?  I will NOT be posting directions for the projects we did at Inspired.  They are not my projects — I took the classes.  If you are interested in these projects, I suggest you contact the instructors directly.  I think you should be able to contact the instructors from here under the “teachers” tab until Donna posts what’s going on for next year.  Perhaps they will let you know where/when they are teaching in your area.  I did learn some new techniques at Inspired and I will most likely be incorporating them into future classes that I am creating/teaching.  Be on the lookout for a photo transfer class at the Paper Tree in May.

3.  I have a Wade the Bellman story too, tell us yours.  The funny thing about this comment and NUMEROUS emails is that EVERYONE “had a story” and not one person shared with me!  I cannot recount the Wade the Bellman story as he is MUCH funnier than I.  And half the funniness was that it just kept going.  I cannot possibly remember an entire 15-20 minute conversation.  I can hardly remember what I ate for breakfast.  So, I’ll TRY to come up with something.  A memorable comment started with a discussion on how tall I am.  For those of you who have never met me in person, I am 6′ 2″ tall.  Wade was fascinated by this.  So there was a HUGE discussion on my dating history, whether my husband was shorter than I, whether I would date shorter men, how much shorter, did they feel weird, blah blah blah.  At one point he said something to the effect of “If I wanted to kiss you goodnight I would have to stand on my toes.”  He was a riot.  I still owe him a poppet puppet.

And from this entry:

4.  How did you make your paper?  I did not actually make the paper.  I just painted and dyed file folders.  I’m loving golden fluid acryllics.  They’re soupy, so they’re easily pushed around and … well, fluid.

And from random emails:

5.  I like BOTH photography and scrapbooking.  I do both when I can.  I am a mother to an active 5 year old that I ADORE.   I really appreciate that you’d like me to do/post/teach more projects, but my 5 year old is my first priority.  I appreciate you understanding that.  I will do my best to post more projects — I have been creating a lot lately, but it’s been tough since they’ve either been a) surprises for someone (some of these I can post when the surprise period is over) or b) personal to either me or the person I’m giving it to.

6.  Are you EVER going to post the rest of your Inspired projects?  I will post more of the inspired projects when I actually finish them.  It’s been busy lately.

OKAY!  let’s move on to why I have happy squeals all over the place.

Received two FABULOUS product packages in the mail yesterday from Activa — stayed up WAAAAYYY too late playing last night.  And today I had another tube on my front porch.  Whatever could it be?!  (I LOVE SURPRISES!!!  Two days in a row?!?!  YEEHAW!)  A pack of fabulous papers from Websters Pages!  That package is going to stretch my imagination and THROW me from my comfort zone.  The pages are GORGEOUS as 12 x 12 and I RARELY work in that size anymore.  Why be standard when you can make your own form?  I have issues.

We’ll have to see what I can throw together.  The hardest part is that I have *1* sheet of each and the pages are beautiful both front and back — going to have to do some serious conservation….I have a feeling I’ll be down to some other size.  I’ll post pics when I have something good going on.  OH THE PRESSURE!  Just kidding — I’m totally excited about playing.  It’s just 10:30pm — PLENTY of time to get something going tonight.

Okay, so the other reason I’m totally psyched lately? Doesn’t spring just totally rock your socks off?  Take your camera around your yard and soak up the color and smell of the season!

Or out of your yard….I have to admit the beautiful big pink blossoms (top left, 3rd row right, and bottom 2nd from left) are NOT in our yard.  Sure do wish they were though.  That’s outside Oliver’s daycare.  Blocked traffic (only one car!) while I snapped a couple shots at lunchtime today.

Not a huge fan of rhododendrons for some reason.  But the bees made them great.  And contrasting color is great in my little window above.  Really diggin’ the fuzzy buzzy bees hanging around — they just sound so happy when they’re busy flying about.  Busy is good.

Oliver and I had lunch today with our friend Cecilia today.  She’s getting married in May and we needed to hang with her for a bit and enjoy her before she moves to NY.  We also did some shopping for a couple things I’m doing for her for the wedding.  Table numbers, donation cards.  Good stuff.  I think Oliver was a little bummed by the 2.5 hour trip to Michael’s today though trying to work out the details.  Park for that boy tomorrow.  Run his wild little woolies out.  Anyway, came home to do some research on paper — check this place out — haven’t ordered yet, but PETTABLE PAPER?!?!  You KNOW I’m all over that!  And there’s good red.  Yummy! AND it goes through the printer?!?!  Seriously, there are some good happenings in my universe lately!

Okay, bum in gear! GO!
