…certain to drown my heart….

This was last night’s scene as I went out for mom’s night out. That’s quite a tear. Nothing compared to his little body blocking the door so I couldn’t go through.
Tonight it was me with the big crocodile tears when I went to “Get to know your child’s new school” kindergarten information night. My best little buddy will be leaving me next year. I know, I know, it’s just kindergarten. A measly 2.5 hours a day. And I’m in the cubby farm for most of the days he’s there. But we won’t have our Tuesdays and Fridays anymore to do WHATEVER WE WANT! And it’s just the start of more leaving….kindergarten, then real school. The teenage years. Then college. Uh, break my heart.
GET IT TOGETHER!
Okay, some actual projects I’ve done (that aren’t secrets). Brought my book to the Paper Tree on Tuesday so hopefully someone will sign up for my class next week. But we had speech class before, so while Oliver was working hard, I was sitting in the lobby of his school feverishly making a little silhouette of my boy at the ocean. Another photo transfer technique….sort of:

I seem to be obsessed with cork lately. DETERMINED to do something good on it. It’s really hard to work with…but it has such great texture!
And lastly, finished up my fence from inspired (Jennifer Stewart’s class). Kind of hard to see in the photo, but I’m all about those twinkly little lights in my scrapbooking project, so you’ll just have to admire them, if not the actual project. And, oh yes, I WILL be at Inspired next year!

Must get working on some business cards for a show I’m doing this weekend. Off and running! Sweet dreams.
