So the littlest Hugh is graduated. In the last couple weeks we’ve attended the three brothers graduations: College, High School, and today, Pre-school!

It has been a BUSY week for me. Work-work has been work. Left last night at 10pm and last week was equally as bad. That just eats up too much time. Been doing fun stuff too. Programs for a presentation the kids did today, diplomas (and little book-type holder things for them … “oh, and I should take some photos and print them the day of the graduation because parents would really like to take home pictures of their little darlings.” Can I ever just let anything be simple?!?! NO!), and painted a back drop this weekend.

Was TONS of fun. Parents, kids, everyone had a good time today. Not only was I glad I helped because it was tons of fun, but when you’re the helper person, you get PRIME photo-squatting-real-estate. Super great benefit if you ask me. Now if only my camera were not acting so …. RRRRRRRRRRrrrrrrr.
Kids had a great time. Did a little blurring of the other children’s faces. Knock on wood my camera doesn’t get that funky before I actually find the nerve to separate myself from it and take it in.

There were actually five kids who graduated, but only three of them were at the school all day today. I did get a picture of all five of them, but nothing so exciting. Just standing around saying cheese. The last two came right in time for the play, so they needed to get dressed and such. No time for playing photos.

Oliver receiving his diploma. The OTHER (there are LOADS!) bonus to helping out is that when you make stuff, you can choose your kid’s favorite color, etc. So Oliver got the GREEN diploma holder. And one of the little kids on the diploma is him. heh. (Not that you can see in the above photo because they’re small, but he’s the kid with the hat. go figure…) In the photo above, the FABULOUS woman is Miss Gigi. She took over Oliver’s preschool in February and anyone NOT going there is MISSING OUT! She’s so good with the kids. So much fun. I mean, look at this production for graduation?!?! It was a full house. SRO for a five kid graduation. The whole school came. All the parents were able to skate out of work on a Tuesday at 4pm to check out this thing. Love that. And besides this, the things she does with the kids. And the staff she has….gush, gush, gush. I’m rather sad Oliver’s trucking off to kindergarten next year. If you’re looking for a great daycare in the NH area, go here. The website is BRAND new, so everything might not be up and running just yet. But the email and phone should be there and I think she still has a couple openings for the summer. I’m only posting one picture of the play because I feel I should ask the other parents’ permissions before posting their children. So here’s a solo picture of Oliver — he was the snail and ever so excited. They worked a hat into his costume so he wouldn’t feel naked on stage…. uh, my sides hurt! What a hoot!

Alright, enough about that. The family all got together (or the local family) this weekend to finally have Andy’s graduation dinner. We had ditched them all after graduation to attend his Annapolis information session. So we reconvened the grad-party for a dinner. Got this family photo. Okay, this is taken with my CRUDDY camera. And oh, how I hate it. So grainy. Blurry. Noisy. I need to get a better fit-in-my-back-pocket camera. But I adore the picture. On many levels. LITERALLY. See the little tiny woman in the front? Yes, yes, the one that’s the shortest person there besides the five year old and the “little cousin”. That’d be my mum. See the really tall girl in the back. Yes, yes, the tallest one in the photo. That would be me. How does that work?!?!
I love the parking lot bit of the photo. I love that everyone is together. I’m sad that the bottom of Jeremy’s face is hidden. I’m sad that Andy is not looking at the camera, BUT I love the interaction with Oliver. Oliver is fortunate to have two big brothers that suffer through all his little whims (with grace, I might add!) and treat him like a king. He is going to miss both of them so much. Jeremy’s heading to Medical School in NY, and Andy to the Naval Academy….next week. Unbelievable. Oliver has some LARGE footsteps to follow in.

And the last bit for the night. Oliver has been taking some of the most amazing photos lately. He saw this rainbow out his window on the way home from the graduation dinner.

With such a happy, healthy family, I think we must be camped out at the end of this rainbow. (Wow, that was sappy! But true — I am thankful for what I have!!!) Sweet dreams (or, it’s still early! Go create!!!)
