Today’s blog will be a picture journal. My camera is still acting screwy — HAVE to get it in to the camera doctors wherever they may be. I can’t imagine being parted from it. snifflesniffleSOBsigh.
Because of a messy “who’s watching the kid?!?” schedule this week I got today off from work. How many different ways can you say
YAHOO!?!?! Course I’m so confused as to which day it is.
Anyway, to make the day better than it already was (possible? YES!) we got to meet up with our good friends. We rocked the park.
Oliver has not stopped talking about it long enough to even take a breath. I can only imagine what he’s dreaming of tonight. Oliver is completely in love with the little girl — they have a very special relationship:

But I jumped ahead in the photo journal. Playground park first, water later.
Jazz hands anyone? I have no idea what he’s doing. There are about five pictures on the swings that he’s WAY cuter in, but the jazz hands make me laugh, so here they are.

The kids were LOVING this crazy window on the side of the playground structure. The structure is kind of like a castle…which apparently have drive throughs. It started out as an ice cream window, but then Oliver kept saying “We need to make the happy meals!” We don’t eat fast food very often at our house (I pretty much never do.) Oliver’s probably eaten about five in his lifetime. Daddy and Mimi are to blame. In any case, Chelsea and Oliver are shouting out to anyone walking by that they’re making the happy meals. Does anyone want one? One mother said to Oliver, “That doesn’t sound very healthy.” He just blinked at her and asked her if she wanted a prize with her meal. Daddy can forget about Father’s day and maybe I’ll have forgiven Mimi by her birthday. nice.
As you can see, the prizes were little pebbles. At least I hope those were the prizes — if it’s the meal, it better come with a dental plan.

Do you ever get a photo back you really like then look again and feel like you need to reach into the photo with a washcloth? I might have to photoshop-washcloth the griminess away.

Oliver and Chelsea have been in the same baby-group since they were born, and the best of friends since about 8 months. Despite their close bond, they play well with “the little brother”. Although Jackson’s almost two years younger, he’s one tall boy — I always wonder if people think the three of them together are triplets. I love this blurry photo…

I’m all out of order again — that was the last photo of the day. Here’s back at the playground…

Jackson learned how to be a fireman today by himself. “Hand hand foot foot!”

NOW down to the water. I have no idea what Oliver’s doing in this photo. It looks like he’s about to be attacked by a croc or something.

Love the interaction in the below photo.

Oliver was quite creative making fishing poles today. The first one he made was pretty great. He gave it to Chelsea. Jackson came running to his mom, “I need a fishing wand too!” Quote of the day for sure.

Wendy found Jackson a pretty great fishing “wand” and Oliver made himself another with some junk on the beach, so everyone was happy with their fishing poles (or wands as the case may be.)

A fantastic day! Tomorrow, hopefully I’ll get my rear in gear and post some pictures of projects. Sweet dreams.
Ooooo, I can end this with them walking off into the sunset….or at least into the mosquito infested woods.
