Photo Play

I’m not doing another FAQ anytime soon, but a question I forgot that people were bummed emailed me about was something to the effect of….
Q.  I played “Photoshoot” like you recommended, but when I used my timer my photos came out blurry.  But yours look in focus.  How?
A.  You need something to focus on when you push the button.  Have someone stand approximately where you are going to take the photo.  Push the button down partway to focus, get ready to run, push the button.  If you are going to be doing something silly, like, oh say, jumping around, and you’re not sure someone will actually be in the SAME place where you focused, you can always close down your aperture and have a huge depth of field (which means pretty much everything can be in focus.)  Hopefully all my camera terms are correct.  TIRED.

Okay, on with it…

Okay, I’m not feeling chatty tonight (holy crud — who am I?!?)  Anyway, we had a fabulous day at the playground today with some new friends.  Super nice people and CUTE.  Like you wouldn’t believe.  But you will after photos…

I also felt a little artsy fartsy with my photos tonight so excuse the ones of Oliver that I LOVE but I’m sure other people will think have been altered just a little too much.  I’ve never exactly been known for my subtlety.

I wanted this next one to be a sepia, but the background is so busy and I liked the contrast of the equipment to Oliver.  But his BRIGHT BLUE shirt wasn’t doing it for me.  Picture still requires more playing.  Please feel free to comment with suggestions.

Any Kids in the Hall fans?  I think I’ve seen them like once, but this was the first thing I thought of when I saw this picture.  ”I crush your head…”

As if the red hair isn’t enough…the curls….the freckles…I just could not bring myself to even make ONE black and white photo of him.

Poor kids.  They didn’t get ANY attention…

Sweet dreams, jellybeans.
