While updating my fireworks photo tonight I found two I liked a heck of a lot better, so here they are.
Legoland was a HOPPIN’ place over this break — we have grown accustomed to having a child who was NOT in school and going during the off season. Now that Oliver is in kindergarten, we are going when everyone else is as well. New Year’s Eve was UNIMAGINABLE. We couldn’t get to the center of the party that night so we were off to the side. We could hear the countdown (at 6pm, mind you!), but couldn’t see the brick dropping. (We did have PRIME seats for the fireworks though.) The boys waited so patiently for the party part to be over and the fireworks to begin.

My little stink watching the show. Since someone asked… My fireworks are sparkly because I am the happy owner of a starlight filter. And I’m pretty excited that I thought to put it on my camera before the fireworks because I kind of like the effect. Happily we saw the fireworks on two nights and I have a night of them without the filter and a night of them with.

I’m off to do a lunchbox note (for the first time in *THREE* weeks! I can’t believe Oliver’s been out of school that long between the ice storm and vacation!) Sweet dreams!
