alright. WHO’S SO SLOW?!?! I’m finally getting pictures up from my advent calendar class on Saturday. This was my “relief” picture when the directions were done…
Everyone in class was super amazing and I just loved the talent. It was a LONG day and I’m sure everyone left exhausted. 8 hours of scrapping with a drill sergeant yelling at you is no fun.

ALL RIGHT PEOPLE! KEEP MOVING! AN HOUR HAS ALREADY ELAPSED. MOVE IT MOVE IT MOVE IT! AND GIVE ME TEN SCORES WHILE YOU’RE AT IT!

Ahhh, I’m so mellow….. anyway, I think I was too busy to actually take GOOD pictures, but here are some from class. My favorite is the first one. This GORGEOUS little girl was one of the student’s children. Is she not the prettiest thing you’ve ever seen!? That said, she was a LIFESAVER. She came at the end of class, and boy oh boy do I wish she was there from the beginning. She helped me deliver supplies and keep me totally sane when I was ready to lose it. Big shout out to her! Can’t wait to give her a ROCKIN’ scrappin’ birthday in March.

Okay — I apologize PROFUSELY if you were in class and your picture did not get up here. I promise I took a picture of you. I promise you DON’T want it posted if it isn’t. I seriously cannot ever remember taking such bad pictures. I think I was mostly just going around clicking without looking so that I could be done with that so that I could help whoever needed help. People posted are MUCH prettier than I have portrayed them. Nice advertisement for someone who also has a photo business, eh? ACK! We did have some fun, I promise. see? look!

this picture makes me laugh because it just makes me think “well if we aren’t two peas in a pod?!?”

our resident “class-change-it-up”er. LOVE THAT!

Our four gypsies filling bottles…. Michelle, what is that face?! I swear this is the only moment I saw you in class when you weren’t smiling….I hate to post, but I loved that you guys filled all the bottles! THANK YOU! Check out that precision reindeer-navigating-powder mixing by Dawn! WOW!

Some SERIOUS concentration going on here!

Our VERY quiet, and sadly, because of it, sorely neglected student! So so sorry Connie! Email me if you have any questions!!!

That’s all the pictures I’m posting for now. I’m ready to have a kickin’ fun day. It is in fact snowing here. Little snowflakes, but enough to stick to my skylight. Oliver asked me if it was winter. I said “TECHNICALLY it’s still fall, but we do live in NH. Let’s move to California!” NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! okay, no, but I *AM* looking forward to our super fabulous vacation there to visit my GREAT Aunt and his GREAT GREAT Aunt in January. For his birthday. What a lucky duck kid, eh? Sweet Peter is, of course, joining us and we are all excited. Just two more months! So that said… the rest of my day is going to be filled with work. I’ve been a big ol’ slacker the last three nights. Even watched a movie Saturday night (decompression after Advent Class.) UNHEARD OF! TV has been banished once again and I’m back to work. New and exciting ideas and classes coming up. Stay tuned! Off to speech class, DMV (license renewal — all of you cross your fingers for short lines, fast eye test, and fabulous picture that will haunt me for the next five years. I look so young in the last one….)

Alright, GET GET YOUR BEHINDS MOVING PEOPLE! HAVE AT IT! GO GO GO!

I AM TOTALLY FLIPPIN’ FREAKING OUT!!!

This afternoon has seemed to go downhill a bit. Today was lovely. Spent the morning working on Joy letters, both for the class at The Paper Treeand for the craft show going on for the Bedford, NH Craftworkers’ Guild later this month and all of next month. Next we went to the dump as a family (always good times that recycling! Nothing like a four year old sorting plastics, cans, and bottles to teach you fun can be had ANYWHERE!), on the way to pick up the plowtruck from inspection for our HUGELY L O N G drive (it’s getting to be that time of year…), on our way to The Paper Tree to drop off the freshly finished J O Y letters. Lovely lovely morning. So I arrive at the shop and things are still going well, but my first mishap occurred. Forgot to take pictures of the letters before bringing them. Okay, no biggie. Fabulous Michelle will take pics and send them to me and I can still do directions — and maybe even infringe on her copyrighted photos by posting them here. Not a biggie. Day is still lovely. Oliver is having a grand time playing in the shop. Doesn’t even want to go when I ask him. Later he takes a lap around the shop and picks out some basic grey letters and some bazzill paper to make flashcards out of (LOVE MY CHILD! Good taste, no?) Start making letters. Day’s still lovely. Oliver starts to get a little antsy and is ready to leave. Check out. Taking a little bit of time. Finish paying. Oliver decides he wants a green flower at the checkout. Uh, just finished paying. Michelle asks Oliver if he has a dime. Nope. So she trades him a hug for the flower. Pretty darn good day. I ask you, HOW CAN IT TURN BAD FROM THERE?!?!

So instead of leaving the shop at that point in time like I should have (I did say he was STARTING to get antsy) I’m chatting with all the fabulous ladies in there. Oliver starts running around (or they say he was just skipping) WHATEVER, he was doing something he shouldn’t have. Plowed into one of the stamp racks and broke a shelf. NOT HAPPY. Apologize to Michelle, pick up stamps, put rack back together, start home. Child needed more of a nap today than he had. Ride home was ENDLESS chatter. Sort of got a headache with the Oliver-induced-exploding-stamp-stand, so day is just starting to turn downhill. Get home, start to get a SORE throat. Between the headache and the sore throat I’m in no mood for anything out of the ordinary. Tell me a nice story durning dinner. Tell me about school on Friday. Tell me what you want to do tomorrow. Anything but what actually took place.

Eating dinner and they boy cannot sit in his seat. Kind of a frustration of mine anyway. Not out of his seat, but fidgety and not eating over his plate. Talking with big arm movements, etc. Tonight, this ends quite miserably when he LAUNCHES his dinner plate. Seriously, we were having breakfast for dinner tonight and you’ve never seen quite the spray of pancakes, fake sauges, fake bacon, clementines, and grapes than you saw all over our floor tonight. It wasn’t even a drop, it was a LAUNCH. He must have flipped the side of it over the side of the counter. And, of course, it was a full plate. Filled him back up, picked up the floor, hosed it down, sent him upstairs with daddy for a tubby and sat down to the computer to put together homework for the advent calendar class. This is where the day turns completely sour.

I HAVE MISPLACED THE BOOK WHERE I WROTE ALL MY NOTES ON HOW TO ACTUALLY CONSTRUCT THE CALENDAR!

Have you ever heard such a tragedy?!?!

Fortunately I have the sheet of paper for the homework, so that’s sent out. I’m putting the child to bed, and then going to tear my house apart to find the book. Hopefully it’s downstairs somewhere, hiding on me. Or if not, hopefully it got left at the shop today and she will let me know so I don’t have to lose any more years of my life. Then I’ll plan a massive break in tomorrow to steal the Hope Diamond Advent Calendar Directions Book. If you’ve seen it, let me know.

I have been so excited about this class. It’s like a baby to me. worked so hard on it. My mum is taking this class which is HUGE since she doesn’t scrapbook and has NEVER taken one of my classes. I’m psyched. Except that I’ve lost my directions, which, on this class, is going to be kind of hard to make it up as I go along since class is going to have to go at a pretty good clip. My book is probably worth a ransom. At this point, I’d probably even kick my mum out of class and let you have her spot. There’s only one left, so….

Alright, I’m done with my pity party of one, but if you’re also having an off day and need to vent, feel free. I’m here to listen. (Someone please write something to put my day into perspective.) At least Oliver doesn’t like syrup. Yeehaw for that! Alright, off to make up some directions. “Fold at 2.5″ 3″ 3.5″ whereever you want.”

HA! Feeling better already. Thanks for letting me vent. Goodnight to you all!

mmmmmm, lovin’ life. Picked up the Cameron Clan photos from my new photo place. Delicious prints. so happy.

Speaking of photos — I have VERY FEW open dates left to shoot before the holidays. If you would like to book me for holiday photos, please contact me SOON.

Worked on a new banner for Michelle at The Paper Tree last night. Quick — like two seconds. Will talk to her tomorrow and get some feedback to finish that up. Am looking forward to going to play there tomorrow. A cardboard album class. Think it’s going to be pretty laid back. and, oh, did I mention, dropping off the advent calendar? just like in casual conversation.

So weird, thought I’d be super excited to have it done, which I am, but in a totally calm and totally peaceful way. Not my usual manic personality. Very unusual for me to be like this. Maybe I’ve found my own personal zen in 24 little flips, flaps, boxes, bags, and spinners. Am so so happy with it. Hope you all are too. Really, truely, sign up soon. I *THINK* the class is half full and I will not teach this class again. In fact, feel I should maybe retire from the scrapping thing after this — it’ll be a tough one for me to beat. Maybe next year I’ll have a jazzed up version. Though probably not because I already HAVE my advent calendar. Will have to think of something else. Anyway, the rest of this post will be pictures, then I’m headed off to bed (HOLY COW EARLY! All part of my new advent enlightenment. Is it totally faux pas to mix Christian religion of the advent with Buddhist enlightenment? Well, will have to ponder that one when my brain is not in such a serene finished-project haze. Better SNAP out of this soon — there is much to be done these next couple weeks.)

sweet dreams of beautiful photo prints, advent calendars, laid back classes, and a laid back, relaxed personality for once. Too bad sweet Peter is missing this momentary calm…

Having an off night with the camera — do not like the calendar in the pictures. Please go down to The Paper Tree and check it out in person. Please be gentle — I’d like the Oshman to be able to open and close boxes, hang stockings, kiss me under the mistletoe, and write a year in review for years to come.

Well good afternoon — it’s actually 7:45pm, but I have so much to do tonight I’d like to pretend it’s about 2pm, okay?

I have to give a big shout out to Mary who left me a comment on my blog after reading it and is not a family member or close friend. Whoooo! Love that I have at least a small outside readership. Since I JUST started this blog I feel like I’m writing to myself sometimes…. Though I’m sure my friends and family are being supportive….anyone can guilt their friends and family into reading….and I love them for that.

Stayed up WAAAAYYYY too late last night (like that’s news) but then did the hour highway drive to Concord today to see my Cameron friends. Sleepy at the wheel — never good. Oliver and I blasted music the whole way to keep me awake — love that he has such an interest in music.

Told Oliver that we were going to Beech Hill Farm today. He said “Why do they call it the “beach” when there’s not water or waves?” Made me laugh.

Did a trial photoshoot with the Cameron Clan to see how that might go. Dirty lens, lighting issues, popcorn and a friend to distract the kids. Despite all, we had a ton of fun. I also thought I did okay with the photos until I started looking at them tonight. I’m glad Becki is a good friend and I can trouble her for a reshoot. <strike>Will try to post some of the BAD photos tonight.</strike> (edit: posted) Even though the lighting is off and the pictures aren’t great, the kids are still darn cute. I’m TOTALLY biased though as love them both dearly. (Well, all three if you include my son who was not SUPPOSED to be part of the shoot. That’s what you get when you drag your kid along to a shoot.) The first photo I’m posting I think is hysterical and I know Becki will appreciate, so the masses who think I’m horrid for posting the grumpy kid photo…it’s okay.

HERE’s the smile we love in that sweet boy!

Below: I think my favorite photo from the shoot. This little girl is going to be a model — she’s the best subject EVER.

*B A D* photoshop playing below! If someone knows how to blend where two lines meet, PLEASE feel free to comment with a tiplet. I will love your tiplet forever.

Alllllrrrighty then….. So I’m hugely new at this blogging thing. If anyone knows how to post the pictures in a separate place, I’d love to hear how. Will love it just as much (maybe more) than the photoshop tiplet.

Made some progress on the advent calendar last night, but not enough. Wanted to get it finished by Tuesday so I can hang it in the store. Won’t happen — but soon. Here’s a teaser photo. I still need to do pricing.

So I’m off to do the lunchbox notes for the week, the directions for my Charmingly Sweet Class (full! YAHOO!), edit the photos (I’m hoping I can fix the lighting issues and maybe the dirty lens bit — I’m not so good with Photoshop — I really just need to take good photos to begin with. Well, practice makes perfect, eh?) So, off to kick it to the short night and get all I can out of it….off and running!

Hoooah! What a day. Problems with the printer from HELL aside, today was FUN!

So I decided the Advent Calendar I’m creating for a class at The Paper Tree needed MORE things to do on it. Really, chocolate is great, but memories are better. Wait, did I just say that. Must be delirious (sp? delerious? ack.) from lack of sleep or something. Or drunk on creative energy! Yeah, that’s it!

I bet you will never guess what this little tiny doodle does. Nothing. But the paper it’s on might make this little Santa feel like he’s been on the Turkish Twist. Ah, the jumping santa teaser. You’ll just have to take the class. I promise you can do your own better doodles if you want.

This calendar has become quite the project. Sign up early (17 November is the magic class date — that’s less than a month away) — Class size is limited and that’s all the supplies I have, so this is THE class for the year. Maybe next year I’ll come up with another one….but of course, I’ll already HAVE an advent calendar then, so I may not….Oooo, evil me tonight, eh?

I hope the creative energy keeps on keepin’ on tonight because I have a lot left to do. Off and running…..

So I’m grabbing the day by the horns today.
Hit the advent calendar HARD.
What’s the advent calendar? Just the class I’m making for The Paper Tree. Just the class I’m more excited about than any class I’ve ever done. It’s got flips, it’s got flaps, it’s got boxes, rags, tags, and bags — and apparently it sounds [...]

Hit the advent calendar HARD.

What’s the advent calendar? Just the class I’m making for The Paper Tree. Just the class I’m more excited about than any class I’ve ever done. It’s got flips, it’s got flaps, it’s got boxes, rags, tags, and bags — and apparently it sounds a bit like The Grinch. Now if I can only get a little Cindylou Who to attend….if you’re one, please join us. Will post pictures later if I can finish it up and figure out how to post pictures.

Also love the 7 gypsies spin around thingfor artist cards they came out with. Got me one of them. Going to start an artist trading card class/swap I do believe. Maybe try some of the challenges out here if I can get a small gathering of people on my new blog. It might just be challenges for me. THat’s okay — I could use some challenges! (Other than the mental ones I seem to have…) But today, I’m feeling full of creative energy, so I’m kicking the computer to the curb and heading down to PLAY.

Alright — Let’s go tackle this day!
